The Siberian packframe
Making a Siberian packframe
This is a bit different from other packrames since it does not use any cordage to hold it together. The same technique has been used for other packrames from Russia. This packframe has been used by Evenki people that during a successful hunt made this packframe to carry home the meat.

About The Speaker
From childs play to a passion for life. What started as a playground as a kid has now become the passion in my life, how to live, travel and be self-sufficient in nature was a dream as a kid but has now become a reality.
When I was a young boy all we kids do was go to the forest and build shelters and make bows, spears and all kinds of fun stuff. It was a feeling of freedom, a place where we could be free, and the forest were then large and there were always new places to discover. Later in life that curiosity that made me want to live in the forest as a kid has now become a passion. Now I look back in time to see how the generations before me lived and thrived from what they could get from nature. In a very short time, the skills that everyone knew is disappearing quick and with it the respect that we used to have for the nature.

But to be able to understand it, we need to use it. Learn how to identify the tree´s and plants we need to make the things we need. I have put my focus on how we have done in the nordic countries and also gone deeper into the more local skills and traditions.
