Tree and Plant ID
Tree and Plant ID for Food, Medicine and Utility
Once you move beyond very basic Bushcraft, you have to learn how to accurately identify trees and plants. If you can’t identify the resources, you can’t make use of them. The broader the range of species you can identify, the more resources you can find all around you. In addition to being able to identify all the tree species around us and knowing what their optimal uses are, we need to be able to identify nutritious food plants, valuable medicinal species and avoid harmful toxic species. Join Paul on a two-part tree and plant walk (morning and afternoon), where you’ll investigate the many species around the event venue, how to positively identify them and discriminate from similar species, as well as noting their uses or harmful effects.
